How to Get Your Teen Out of Bed for School: "It is his obligation to make sure he gets to school on time and it is up to him to face the consequences when he is late for school. Today in the Frum World
Today in the Frum World: "The idea behind these melaveh-malka programs is that married friends, alone and together with their spouses, can be great social resources for singles, and part of thinking 'outside of the box' involves developing more friendships with married people of one's own gender. We know that for some people, it is easier said than done. In some singles enclaves of New York City,"

Passaic Dating
Passaic Dating: "Shidduch dating can be very awkward « Frum Satire: The Rantings of A Frum Yid With A Warped Perspective: "Awkward Shidduch moments:
Initial Phone Call: In the yeshivish world the phone call lasts about 10 minutes and is a courtesy and logistics call. In my world the phone call can last up to 3 hours and can seem like a date. The problem with long phone calls, is that you build up this picture in your head and the long phone calls are always with girls who you end up being very unattractive."

Revolving Doors and the Paradigm-Shift.info. « TheWritersCafe.org: "example when you miss out on a great opportunity, people will typically say, I guess it was not meant to be. Perhaps a better approach would be for the other person to try to find out what the opportunity was. It is quite possible that the opportunity is still out there, and that door is not yet closed."

Teaneck Parents Eyeing Public (School) Option | The Jewish Week
Teaneck Parents Eyeing Public (School) Option | The Jewish Week: "Groups like the Orthodox Union, Yeshiva University’s Institute for University-School Partnership, Jewish Education for Future Generations (JEFG) and its Northern New Jersey Kehillot Investing in Day Schools (NNJKIDS) project are talking about the “tuition crisis” and moving forward with various projects, such as a community-wide scholarship fund and a “benchmarking” project to reduce school operating costs.
But for some parents, these efforts are too little too late.
“There’s so much soreness around the topic of rising tuition costs, it comes up at almost every Shabbos meal we sit at,” said “Melissa Rosen.” “It really is starting to consume everyone and become this sore subject, and it’s sad. People are getting so hostile against these schools, and it’s not good for the kids.”"

Jewish Thought of the Day
Jewish Thought of the Day: "He explained that many people are like garbage trucks. They run around full of garbage, full of frustration, full of anger, and full of disappointment. As their garbage piles up, they need a place to dump it, and sometimes they’ll dump it on you. Don’t take it personally. Just smile, wave, wish them well, and move on. Don’t take their garbage and spread it to other people at work, at home, or on the streets."
